Aural CSS

CIS Communications & Marketing is going back and retro-fitting pages with acronyms and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

This page is an attempt to test browser capabilities for supporting the aural media type and it's child elements.

Even though the W3C Recommendation for CSS 2.1 (http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/aural.html#aural-media-group) says that aural media type is deprecated and will be removed from future CSS Recommendations, the speech media type isn't available yet and won't be until later versions of CSS. For now CSS 2.1 is supported by most browsers. So authors have a choice, try to use the aural media type now or wait for the speech media type to be supported.
